This is what a 60% chance of thunderstorms looks like in Florida. Whispy clouds, and a sweet breeze. My afternoon with Katie and Jordan was so precious. These two are some of the most kind hearts you’ll ever meet. I get the honor of telling their love story.
They live in Atlanta so scheduling this shoot amidst wedding, hurricane and newborn season was tricky. (Yes, like clockwork, all three always come around the same time every year) We crossed our fingers and prayed the rain would hold out for our shoot that we scheduled into a tiny window they were in Florida. St Augustine is special to them since that’s where Jordan proposed! I am so excited for their wedding in a few weeks!!
Can’t wait for you to see her in her wedding dress!!
Literally our first frame of the whole shoot. These two are gorgeous!
Michelle and Dominick had the wedding day most people dream of. The beach breeze had the hint of fall and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. For all the planning they did to put in every single detail of this gorgeous day, it was one of the sweetest days I’ve witnessed in a long time. They had a chaotic month of closing on a new home, having it flood right before closing, wedding plans shift and you’d never know it by the smiles on their faces. They realized marriage is much bigger than 8 hours on a Saturday.
Michelle, you are gorgeous. I wish I had your glitter wrap at my wedding!! You looked like a dream out of a 1950’s movie. I can’t see what God does through your marriage.
Ps. Having a wedding on a yacht was intimidating as a photographer but it was so fun! There were butterflies flying all around all morning! One even landed on her bouquet after the ceremony! That’s one of the many butterflies all around that morning!
5 years ago these two got married. I bet if you asked them where they saw themselves now that day, their answer might not have been where they are today. They just bought a cute home in Salt Lake City that they flew me out to help design. Doing e-design with Liz was so fun! I’ll share more of our process and progress soon!
Little did I know I would end up in the hospital twice during this trip (and 24 hours before this shoot.) My body has been going through waves of random illnesses this year including getting my appendix out in August. Liz and Alex took such good care of me – even when I had come out to work!
Happy Anniversary sweet friends!
I am so excited I got to travel with this sweet couple to their future city for a sweet little engagement shoot! New Orleans is one of my favorite places to be and I also LOVE getting to share this city with others. Not only did we have a gorgeous day, we got to take in a lot of City Park and some of it’s fun amenities like a little canoe ride! How Notebook of them?!
I can’t wait for their wedding soon!
