    lake eola proposal.

Being a little part of people’s love stories has so many fun rewards.  Sometimes it’s in the form of being there when a couple brings home a newborn, wedding days but sometimes I get to start from the beginning.  I got an email a few weeks before this shoot from a sweet groom wanting to surprise his girlfriend with the perfect proposal at Lake Eola, in downtown Orlando.

As much of a surprise that was, we devised a plan to have a little mini shoot after the proposal and wait until you see her siblings and closest friends that flew in from all over the country come up behind her and surprise her.  Not only did they get to celebrate after, they got to see her happiest moment while carefully tucked around the park.

So excited for you, Priya & Sahisnu!

sable + van. married. gainesville, fl.

I  have been so spoiled this year with some of the most incredible brides.  Seriously. I have known Sable for a few years through one of my sweet bridesmaids and was so excited to photograph her wedding to one of the most gentle and kind men I have ever met.  Through a little matchmaking of my bridesmaid, Sable and Van met last year and quickly realized they didn’t want to live life without one another.  Their wedding was on one of the first really hot days of summer this year, but neither complained for a second about how humid and how Florida’s typical chance of rain was nowhere to be found in their worries.  These are the types of people that make what I do so worth it.   Their reception felt like going to dinner at a family member’s house that I had known my entire life.  Her sweet parents opened their home up to me and I loved being able to spend the afternoon with them.  This wedding was so sweet and simple and felt like a page out of Southern Weddings Magazine. Sable, you are a beautiful bride.

This is the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen!! The background, the Bridal Gown was beautiful! What stood out the most to me was the happiness you captured from the Bride and Groom in every photo! They had such a glow on their faces, sparkle in their eyes and you could just feel the love you captured in your photos!! After looking at these and growing up with the Brides Parents, I still have chills going down my spine!! With Much Love, Beth Smith McDaniel

flax and wool designs catalog styling

A few months ago, Jessa of Flax and Wool Designs asked me to help on one of the biggest things she’s ever done in owning her business.  As small business owners, sometimes we don’t see where God wants us to be.  There are days where we feel like giving up, throwing in the towel and starting over, but I am so thankful for the community of girls that surround me that challenge us to keep going.  Keep working. It’s worth it.  I can’t wait to see where God takes this little dream that started a few years ago. Jessa, I am so dang proud to call you part of my team.

I played a tiny part in creating her catalog! I got to style some vintage goodies of my own, accessories from West Elm as well as a few items from Paper Goat Post!
